[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시는 일본 간사이 일대를 방문해 지속가능관광 우수사례를 연수하는 시간을 가졌다.
지난 9월 10일부터 14일까지 일본 간사이 일대인 나라현, 교토부, 시가현을 방문했다.
이번 연수에는 정천식 부의장을 비롯한최호섭 운영위원장, 이관실 의원, 이중섭 의원, 황윤희 의원 등 시의회도 함께하여의미를 더했다.
연수는 일본의 다양한 지속가능관광 성공 사례를 중심으로 진행됐다. 주요 일정으로는▲나라현 아스카무라의 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)를 활용한 런케이션(교육관광) 사례, ▲UNWTO(세계관광기구) 주일사무소와의 간담회, ▲UNWTO(세계관광기구)가 선정한 최우수 관광마을 미야마정사례, ▲주민공동출자로 운영되는 ‘미치노에키’ 관광 사례, ▲교토시에서 시니어 관광가이드와 함께하는 주민주도 관광 프로그램 체험, ▲시가현 비와호 관광 관련간담회 중심으로 진행됐다.
김보라 시장은 간담회에서 일본의 주민주도형 지속가능관광 사례들을 안성시 사례에 접목할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하며 “앞으로의 안성시의 관광 발전에 있어 주민이 주도하는 지속가능한 관광 정책을 수립하여, 지역경제를 활성화하고 문화관광을 발전시키는데 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 강조했다.
아울러, 정천식 부의장은 “이번 연수를 통해 안성시의 지속가능한 관광정책이 글로벌수준으로의 도약을 위한 중요한 전환점이 될 것으로 기대한다. 시의회에서도 지속가능한 관광정책이 안성시의 잘 접목될 수 있도록 조언하고 협력하겠다”고 전했다.
한편 9월 11일 고베에서 열린 ‘제10회 한·중·일 관광장관회의’에서 ▲지속가능한 관광의 중요성 등 3가지 분야에서 협력방안을 논의하고 공동선언문을 채택했다.

At the meeting, Mayor Kim Bo-ra discussed ways to apply Japan’s resident-led sustainable tourism cases to Anseong City’s case study, emphasizing, “We will work to establish a resident-led sustainable tourism policy for the future tourism development of Anseong City, thereby contributing to revitalizing the local economy and developing cultural tourism.”
In addition, Vice Chairman Jeong Cheon-sik said, “We expect this training to be an important turning point for Anseong City’s sustainable tourism policy to leap forward to the global level. The city council also said, “We will advise and cooperate so that the sustainable tourism policy can be well implemented in Anseong City.”
