[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시의회는 ‘열린의회 운영교실’을 운영해 아이림 어린이집 원생 22명이 견학했다.
이번‘열린의회 운영교실’은 제224회 제1차 정례회에서 제정된 조례에 따라 참여대상이 청소년에서 유아까지 확대되어, 처음으로 어린이집에서 참가를 신청하여 열리게 되었다.
이날 안정열 의장, 정천식 부의장, 최호섭 운영위원장, 이중섭 의원은견학을 위해 의회를 방문한 어린이들에게 눈높이에서 환영의 인사로원생들을 맞이했다.
원생들은 시의회의 역할과 기능에 대한 설명과 동영상을 시청하고 본회의장과특별위원회장 등을 둘러봤으며, 본회의장에서는 직접 의장석에 서서 의사봉을 두드려 보는 등 의회를체험하는 시간도 가졌다.
안정열 의장은 “미래의 주역인 어린이들이 안성시의회 방문하여정말 반갑고 감사하다. 짧은 시간이지만 이번 견학이 시의회에 대해 처음으로 알게된 소중한 시간이 되었길 희망한다.”고 말했다.
안성시의회 ‘열린의회 운영교실’은 유아ㆍ청소년의 민주시민으로서의 역량 강화하고지방자치 및 지방의회에 대한 이해 향상을 목적으로 의회체험활동을 직접체험할 수 있는 제도로, 안성시민과 안성시 소재의어린이집ㆍ학교에 재학 중인 사람은 누구나 신청할 수 있다.
