[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시가 ‘2024년 용인시청소년 축제’를 개최했다.
12일 기흥구 중동 동백호수공원에서 열린 축제는 용인특례시 주최, 용인시청소년미래재단과 용인시청소년수련관이 주관했다.
행사장을 찾은 이상일 시장은 행사 시작 전 로봇과 드론, 가상현실 등을 체험할 수 있는 부스를 참관하고, 축제 관계자·참가자들과 이야기를 나눴다.
이 시장은 ”용인특례시는 대한민국 미래의 주인공인 청소년들이 다양한 경험을 하고, 꿈을 성취할 수 있도록 여러 곳에 청소년문화의집을 건립하는 등 청소년들을 위한 공간을 늘리고, 청소년 활동을 지원하는 프로그램도 많이 개발하는 노력을 기울이고 있다“며 ”오늘 축제도 풍성하게 꾸며졌으니 재밌게 즐기면서 꿈을 키워나가기 바란다“고 말했다.
이 시장은 ”내년 7월 수영장 시설을 갖춘 흥덕청소년문화의집이 개관하고, 동천동에도 청소년문화의집이 내년에 개관한다"며 "동백2동과 보정동에는 2026년에 청소년문화의집을 포함한 종합복지회관이 개관될 예정이므로 기존의 유림동·신갈동·수지구 청소년문화의집 외에 다른 여러 곳에도 청소년들을 위한 시설이 생겨 여러분을 위한 활동을 하게 될 것"이라고 설명했다.
이날 축제는 초청공연, ‘청소년 어울림 마당’, ‘동아리 페스티벌’ 등 다채롭게 꾸며졌다.
