[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시가 '2024 재난관리평가 우수기관 시상‘을 받았다.
11일 행정안전부 주관, 주최로 열린 이날 시상식은‘재난 및 안전관리기본법’에 따라 중앙정부, 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등 332개 재난관리책임기관 중 재난관리 역량이우수한 기관을 선정해 매년 포상하는 행사다.
용인특례시는 전국 최초로 3년 연속 대통령 표창을 수상하게 되면서 특별교부세 2억 4500만원을 지원 받는다.
시는 안전 문화 확산을 위해 ‘용인시민안전지킴이’, ‘안전보안관’등 민간단체 주도로 안전사고 예방·재난별 행동 요령 등에 관한 캠페인을 진행하고 전 연령층을 대상으로 체험형 안전 교육 등도 실시하고 있다.
한편, 시는 지난 9월 ‘겨울철 자연재난(대설) 대책 종합평가’에서도 경기도 1위로 선정돼 경기도지사 표창과 재난관리기금 4억 5000만원을 지원받아 명실상부 안전한 도시임을 입증했다.
