유진그룹이, 농협이 주도하는 ‘쌀 소비 촉진’ 운동에 힘을 보탰다.
유진그룹(회장 유경선)의 모회사인 유진기업은 10월 16일 서울 여의도 유진그룹 사옥에서 NH농협은행 종로대기업금융센터와 함께 쌀 소비 촉진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
유진그룹에 따르면 이날 업무협약은 쌀 소비량 감소와 쌀값 하락 등으로 어려움을 겪는 농가를 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
유진기업과 농협은행은 이번 협약을 통해 쌀 소비 촉진을 위한 공동의 노력을 다짐하며 ‘아침밥 먹기 캠페인’을 통해 건강한 식습관 형성과 임직원 쌀 선물, 불우이웃 돕기 등의 행사를 추진하여 농민과 상생하는 사회분위기 조성에 적극 동참하기로 했다.
유진기업 관계자는 “고령화와 인구감소에 따른 일손 부족과 쌀값 하락 등으로 어려운 농가에 조금이나마 보탬이 되고자 캠페인에 동참하게 됐다”며 “직원들의 건강 증진과 우리쌀 소비 촉진을 위해 회사 차원의 다양한 참여방법을 모색해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Yujin Group has joined Nonghyup's 'Promoting Rice Consumption' campaign.
On October 16, Yujin Corporation, the parent company of Yujin Group (Chairman Yoo Kyung-sun), announced that it signed a business agreement with NH NH Bank Jongno Large Corporate Finance Center to promote rice consumption at the Yujin Group headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
According to Yujin Group, the MOU is designed to help farmers who are facing difficulties due to the decline in rice consumption and falling rice prices.
Through the agreement, Yujin Enterprises and Nonghyup Bank pledged joint efforts to promote rice consumption, and decided to actively participate in creating a social atmosphere of coexistence with farmers by promoting healthy eating habits through the 'Eat Breakfast Campaign,' gifting rice to employees, and helping the needy.
“We joined the campaign to help farmers who are struggling with labor shortages and declining rice prices due to aging and population decline,” said an official from Yujin. ”We will explore various ways to participate at the company level to improve the health of employees and promote consumption of Korean rice.”
