【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE(와이즈)캠퍼스 건학위원회(위원장 류완하 총장)는 오는 11월 12일 오후 3시에 경주 와이즈캠퍼스 문무관에서 ‘2024 WISE Young Camp - Festival with Buddhism’ (이하 영캠프)를 개최한다고 23일 밝혔다.

영캠프는 자승 대종사의 원력과 학교법인 동국대학교 이사장 돈관스님의 지원으로 시작된 프로젝트로, 대학생들에게 불교의 가르침을 널리 전하고 청년 불자들이 함께 모여 마음을 나누고 마음껏 즐길 수 있는 축제의 장을 마련하기 위해 기획됐다.
이 행사는 동국대 와이즈캠퍼스 불교동아리 학생들이 ‘WISE캠퍼스 영캠프 학생기획위원단’을 만들어 기획하고 준비한 축제이다. 대학생들이 함께 어울리고 즐길 수 있는 불교와 페스티벌이 어우러지는 축제의 장을 만든다는 계획이다.
행사는 1부 수계법회, 2부 어울림 한마당, 3부 뮤지션 공연 순으로 진행된다.
수계법회는 이사장 돈관스님을 전계대화상으로 모시고, 법인 이사·감사스님, 정각원장, 교.강사 및 학인스님 등 100여명의 스님들께서 대학생들에게 연비를 내릴 예정이다.
국악오케스트라의 공연과 더불어 장엄한 예불의식으로 펼쳐질 수계법회를 통해 1300명 대학생들은 전통 불교의 가르침을 체험하고 청년 불자로 거듭나게 된다.
2부 어울림한마당에서는 학생기획위원단이 기획하는 학생들의 공연과 이벤트가 열리고, 3부 뮤지션 공연에는 가수 하하와 뉴진스님 디제잉 공연으로 축제의 열기를 더한다.
한편, 동국대학교 WISE(와이즈)캠퍼스 불교동아리들은 지난 9월 불교문화대학 ‘부루나’를 시작으로 4개 단과대학 불교동아리 창립을 완료했으며, 오는 10월 30일에는 동국대 한의과대학 불교동아리 ‘심우회’가 창립할 예정이다.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Foundation Committee to Hold 2024 Young Camp ‘Protagonist’
The Dongguk University WISE Campus Foundation Committee (Chairman President Ryu Wan-ha) announced on the 23rd that it will hold the ‘2024 WISE Young Camp - Festival with Buddhism’ (hereinafter referred to as Young Camp) at 3 PM on November 12th at the Munmu Hall of the Wise Campus in Gyeongju.

The event will proceed in the following order: Part 1, the Su-Gye-Dae-Hwa-Sa-Mun, Part 2, and Part 3, the Musician Performance.
The Su-Gye-Dae-Sa-Sa-Mun will be hosted by the Chairman of the Board, Monk Don-Gwan, as the Jeon-Gye-Dae-Hwa-Sang, and approximately 100 monks, including the Corporation Director, Auditor, Director of Jeong-Gak-Won, and the Student Monk, will present a ceremonial offering to the university students.
The Su-Gye-Dae-Sa-Sa-Mun, which will be held as a grand Buddhist ceremony along with a performance by the National Orchestra, will allow 1,300 university students to experience the teachings of traditional Buddhism and be reborn as young Buddhists.
Part 2, the Su-Gye-Dae-Sa-Mun, will feature student performances and events planned by the Student Planning Committee, and Part 3, the Musician Performance, will add to the excitement of the festival with a DJ performance by singer Haha and Monk New Jin.
Meanwhile, the Buddhist clubs at Dongguk University’s WISE campus have completed the establishment of Buddhist clubs in four colleges, starting with the Buddhist Culture College’s ‘Buruna’ last September, and the Dongguk University College of Oriental Medicine’s Buddhist club ‘Simwoohoe’ is scheduled to be established on October 30.
