㈜골프존(대표 박강수, 최덕형)은 12월 14일 대전 골프존 조이마루에서 G투어 정규투어 첫 변형 스테이블포드 방식의 혼성매치 '2024 메리츠증권 GTOUR MIXED CUP'을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 메리츠증권이 메인 스폰서로 참여하며, 총상금 7천만 원 중 우승상금은 1500만 원이다. 스크린골프투어 GTOUR에서 활동 중인 80명의 남녀 프로가 출전하며, 참가 선수는 남녀 각각 7차 대회 종료 기준 성적에 따라 상위 30명과 신인상 포인트 상위 10명이 선정됐다.
경기는 컷 탈락 없이 2라운드 36홀 변형 스테이블포드 방식으로 진행되며, 티박스는 남자 백티와 여자 프론트티를 사용한다. 변형 스테이블포드는 알바트로스 8점, 이글 5점, 버디 2점 등으로 점수를 환산해 순위를 결정하는 방식으로, 골프팬들에게 새로운 재미를 선사할 예정이다.
남자부에서는 상금왕 2위 이성훈과 송명규, 김민수, 최민욱 등이 치열한 경쟁을 벌일 것으로 예상된다. 여자부에서는 심지연, 홍현지, 이진경 등 상금랭킹 상위 선수들이 선두권 경쟁을 펼치며, 신인 선수들의 활약도 주목받고 있다.
1라운드는 오전 9시부터 스크린골프존과 네이버, 다음 스포츠, 유튜브 골프존 채널을 통해 생중계되며, 최종라운드는 JTBC골프 채널에서 추가 생중계된다. 갤러리 방문이 가능하며, 다양한 참여 이벤트도 마련되어 있다.
올해로 13주년을 맞은 GTOUR는 남녀 개별 대회와 혼성 대회를 포함해 정규투어 대회를 확대하고, 스크린골프의 즐거움을 나누는 기회를 지속적으로 제공할 계획이다.
Golfzone to host 'Merits Securities G-Tour MIXED CUP'
(CEOs Park Kang-soo and Choi Deok-hyung) announced on December 14 that it will host the '2024 Merit Securities GTOUR MIXED CUP', the first variant of the G Tour's regular stableford mixed match, at Golf Zone Joymaru in Daejeon.
Merits Securities will be the main sponsor of the tournament, with a prize pool of 15 million won out of a total prize pool of 70 million won. The tournament will feature 80 male and female professionals active on the ScreenGolf Tour GTOUR, with the top 30 male and female players and the top 10 rookie points earners selected based on their scores at the end of seven tournaments.
The event will be played as a two-round, 36-hole, no-cut, modified stableford format, with tee boxes utilizing back tees for the men and front tees for the women. The modified Stableford will be a new twist for golf fans, with scores converted into points for albatrosses (8 points), eagles (5 points), and birdies (2 points).
In the men's division, the top three players are expected to compete for the top prize, with Lee Sung-hoon, Song Myung-kyu, Kim Min-soo, and Choi Min-wook. In the women's division, the top players on the money list, such as Shim Ji-yeon, Hong Hyun-ji, and Lee Jin-kyung, are expected to compete for the top spot, while rookies are also in the spotlight.
The first round will be streamed live on ScreenGolfZone, Naver, Daum Sports, and YouTube's GolfZone channel from 9 a.m., and the final round will be streamed on JTBC Golf Channel. The gallery will be available for viewing and there will also be various engagement events.
Now in its 13th year, the GTOUR plans to expand its regular tour events, including individual men's and women's tournaments and mixed events, and continue to provide opportunities to share the fun of screen golf.
