미술 축제 2024 서울아트쇼가 24일 개막되어 28일까지 서울 삼성동 코엑스 A홀에서 열리고 있다. 2024 서울아트쇼 갤러리아트눈 부스(No 78)에 참가한 이태양 화가의 나전칠기 회화 작품이 화제이다.
이태양 화가는 사유의 미학을 의식적인 주제로 작업하는 작가이다. 사고와 성찰 과정을 미적 관점에서 깊숙하게 탐구하여 창조적인 아름다움을 추구한다.
작가는 서울아트쇼에 국보 제83호로 지정된 반가사유상 작품과 함께 근대 조각의 창시자인 오귀스트 로댕의 대표 작품 ‘생각하는 사람’(The Thinker)을 소재로 한 나전칠기 조형 작품과 평면 회화 작품 10여 점을 선보였다.

반도체 공학 박사 출신인 이태양 화가의 특성적인 기법이 뛰어난 전통과 현대가 어우러진 작품이 프랑스 파리에서도 주목을 받고 있다. 프랑스 파리 12구에 소재한 89GALLERY(관장: EUN HEE ALLARD)에서 12월 5일 오픈되어 2025년 1월 25일까지 열리고 있는 전시에 초대된 작가의 작품이 현지에서 많은 관심을 받고 있다는 소식이다.
들을 선보이고 있다. 이 중에서 이태양 작가의 작품을 주목하는 이유는 찬연한 우리 문화의 정수인 반가사유상의 정신성을 격조 높은 회화 예술 작품으로 승화시킨 까닭이다.

프랑스 파리 89GALLERY에서 열리고 있는 전시는 유명 화랑 Albert Benamou Gallery 디렉터와 영화 엠마뉴엘 감독 쥬스트 자킨이 열었던 유명 사진 화랑 Just Jaeckin Gallery를 이끌었던 Benamou 디렉터와 유고슬라비아의 마지막 왕자인 사진작가 미쉘(MICHEL) 왕자가 후원하는 화제의 전시다.

프랑스 유명 화랑 Albert Benamou Gallery는 2대에 걸쳐 승화된 예술혼을 매만진 갤러리로 누보 레알리슴의 선두주자 이브 클랭과 아르망에서부터 플럭서스 대표작가 백남준에 이르는 세계적인 아티스트들의 전시를 열었던 유명 갤러리다.
