[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] (사)김해도예협회 제23대 배창진 이사장이 21일 클레이아크김해미술관 큐빅하우스 3층 시청각실에서 취임식을 갖고 회원들의 단합에 나섰다.

신임 배 이사장은 2년의 임기로 이사장 직을 수행하게 된다.

배창진 신임 이사장은 취임사에서 “김해 도예인들의 오랜 숙원사업인 진례 도예촌 건립과 도자 산업 활성화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라며 이를 위해 전 회원들의 단합과 단결을 당부했다.

전임 김광수(광진도예) 이사장의은 지난해 김해관광문화재단과 협업을 통해 제29회 김해분청도자기축제를 성공리에 개최하고, 경남도에서는 유일하게 문화체육관광부 지정 예비축제로 선정되는 등 김해의 도예 발전에 크게 기여했다.

홍태용 김해시장은 “지난해 도예협회를 위해 애써주신 22대 김광수 이사장님께 감사드리며, 새로 취임하신 23대 배창진 이사장님께 축하의 말씀을 전한다”라며, “올해는 김해시군 통합 30주년이 되는 해이면서 또한 김해분청도자기축제 역시 30회를 맞이하는 해인 만큼 올해는 더욱 알차고 풍성하며 품격있는 축제로 만들어주시길 바란다.”라고 전했다.

김해도예협회는 매년 10~11월 경 진례면 송정리 일원에서 김해분청도자기축제를 개최해오고 있으며, 올해도 11월 중 축제를 개최할 예정이다.
