[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 설 연휴 첫날인 25일 공원묘원 플라스틱조화 근절 집중홍보 캠페인을 실시했다.
시는 지난 2022년부터 설·추석 명절을 맞아 공원묘원을 방문하는 성묘객을 대상으로 플라스틱조화가 환경에 미치는 악영향을 안내하고 생화로 헌화할 것을 홍보하고 있다.
이날 캠페인은 관내 공원묘원 규모의 75%를 차지하는 낙원추모공원(한림면)과 김해공원묘원(삼계동) 2곳에서 실시했으며 여성단체협의회, 김해중부자율방범연합대, 재향군인회, 해동이친환경봉사회, 김해대학교 학생 150여명이 참여했다.
공원묘원 플라스틱조화 근절 정책은 김해시에서 가장 먼저 시작되어 2023년부터 조화 헌화율 0.1%를 유지하고 있다.
이는 타 지역의 선도모델이 되어 전국적으로 확산되고 있다.
특히 환경부 2024년 온실가스 감축사업별 감축원단위 가이드라인에 김해시 공원묘원 플라스틱조화 사용 금지 사례가 소개되며 플라스틱조화에 대한 감축원단위가 새롭게 등재됐다.
