최상목 대통령 권한대행 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관이 10일 울산 울주군 폭발 사고 관련해 "행안부·산업통상자원부·소방청·울산광역시는 동원 가능한 모든 장비 및 인원을 총동원해 화재 진압에 최선을 다하라"고 긴급 지시를 내렸다.
최 권한대행은 이날 오전 발생한 울산 울주군 탱크로리 폭발 사고 관련 보고를 받고 이같이 지시했다.
그러면서 "특히 소방청장은 인명 피해가 발생않도록 현장 활동 중인 화재진압 대원 등 소방공무원 안전에도 만전을 기하고, 경찰청·울산광역시는 현장 통제·주민 대피 등 안전 조치를 철저히 하라"고 당부했다.
앞서 이날 오전 11시 15분께 울산 울주군 처용리 온산공단 소재 UTK탱크터미널 내 유류탱크에서 화재가 발생했다. 이 사고로 작업자 2명이 피해를 본 가운데 1명은 병원으로 이송됐으나 1명은 아직 실종 상태로 알려졌다.
