세종시교육청 안전체험교육원이 2월 10일부터 12일까지 더숲 어린이집 아이들을 대상으로 안전체험교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 교통안전(안전벨트), 지진대피, 화재대피 훈련을 포함하여, 교육원 실내 체험관에서 지하철 이용 시 지켜야 할 안전수칙과 풍수해를 대비한 안전체험으로 구성되었다.
안전행복버스는 유치원 유아(만 3세)부터 초등학교(3학년) 학생을 대상으로 진행되는 ‘찾아가는 체험 중심 안전교육’으로, 학부모들로부터 큰 호평을 받고 있다.
2024학년도에는 총 33개 학교, 2654명의 학생이 참여했다.
이번 겨울방학 중 안전행복버스 교육은 유치원, 어린이집, 초등학교를 대상으로 신청을 받았으며, 여울유치원과 더숲어린이집에서 총 4일 동안 90여명의 학생이 교육에 참여하였다.
방학 중 안전행복버스 교육은 이번 겨울방학에 시범 운영된 후, 피드백을 반영하여 확대 운영할 계획이다.
이러한 성과를 바탕으로 세종특별자치시교육청 안전행복버스 운영 방법을 벤치마킹하기 위해 타 시·도 교육기관의 방문과 문의가 이어지고 있는 상황이다.
안전체험교육원은 2025학년도에는 안전행복버스를 확대 운영하여 총 59개 학교, 9000여명의 학생이 참여할 예정이며, 더 많은 어린이들이 안전체험교육에 참여할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력할 계획이다.
