세종시가 농협은행, 세종신용보증재단과 협력하여 지역 소상공인의 어려움을 해소하기 위한 150억 원 규모의 금융 지원에 나선다.
이를 위해 세종시는 4일, 시청에서 농협은행과 세종신용보증재단과 함께 ‘푸른세종 특별보증 금융지원 협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약식에는 최민호 시장, 홍순옥 농협은행 세종본부장, 김효명 세종신용보증재단 이사장이 참석했다.
협약에 따라 농협은행이 세종신보에 특별출연한 10억 원을 바탕으로 총 150억 원 규모의 특별보증이 지원되며, 시는 특별보증을 받은 소상공인의 대출이자 부담을 줄이기 위해 이자 차액을 보전할 예정이다.
특별보증 지원 대상은 세종시 내 사업자 등록 후 영업 중인 소기업과 소상공인으로, 세종사랑 운동의 취지에 맞게 지역에서 생산된 제품을 우선 구매하는 기업에는 1000만 원의 추가 한도가 지원된다.
이번 금융 지원을 통해 지역 소상공인이 안정적인 경영 환경에서 성장할 수 있는 든든한 버팀목을 제공하며, 지역 내 소비 촉진과 자생력 강화, 지속 가능한 경제 구조 마련에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
