전남 나주시 산포면에 소재한 나주미술관(관장 강희주)에서 강금복 작가 초대전 ‘봄날에 노닐다’가 지난 3월 10일 오픈되어 3월 31일까지 열린다. ‘봄날에 노닐다’라는 주제 속에 봄의 생명력을 특성적인 헤아림으로 품은 사유의 미학이 따뜻한 온기가 깃든 사색의 시간을 선사하고 있다.
봄날에 노닐 듯 작가의 전시 작품을 들여다보면 전통 회화의 감성이 혼합재료 속에 녹아들어 현대적 감각의 미감을 드러낸 전통과 현대 사이에서 아름다운 조화를 살피게 된다.
눈길을 끄는 한지에 아크릴로 그려진 작품 ‘몽유 매화’ 앞에 선다. 화면을 채운 밝은 빛깔 속에 피어난 매화는 자연의 기운과 생명에 깃든 피어남의 숨결이 그려져 있다. 다채로운 빛깔의 붓질 속에서 오롯하게 피어난 매화는 어둠을 뚫고 피어난 생명이다.
모진 겨울을 견뎌내고 봄을 맞이한 평온한 은유 속에 많은 이야기가 함축되어 추상의 바탕으로 누워있다. 그 위에 피어난 매화는 모두의 존재로 작가가 추구한 세상이 그려져 있다.

작가의 ‘달ㆍ꿈ㆍ희망’ 연작은 동일한 풍경이지만, 관람자의 생각에 따라 빛의 느낌과 바다의 결이 미묘하게 달라지는 정지된 시간 속의 깊은 감성을 느끼게 한다. 잔영으로 남은 희망의 불빛을 안고 전시실 한쪽에 걸린 추상 작품 ‘꿈’ 앞에 선다.
