[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 지난 26~27일 이틀간 친환경 장묘 선진지 벤치마킹을 실시했다.
이번 벤치마킹은 김해시 공설 자연장지 조성의 완성도를 더하기 위해 시 박종주 복지국장과 담당자, 김해 공설 자연장지 시공사 소장들이 참석한 가운데 이뤄졌다.
이들은 보령시 ‘국립기억의숲’과 ‘모란공원’, 세종시 ‘은하수공원’, 대전광역시 ‘대전추모공원’을 차례로 방문해 자연장지 조성 방식과 우수한 운영 노하우를 살폈다.
이곳들은 천연수목을 이용하는 수목장림, 잔디와 식재목을 이용하는 수목장이 조성된 자연친화적 장사시설이다.
자연과 조화 속에 환경을 보호하며 고인을 기리는 지속가능한 장례문화를 선도, 좋은 반응을 얻고 있다.
시 관계자는 ＂타 지역의 우수 사례들을 적극 반영해 시민들에게 편안하고 친환경적인 자연장지를 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다＂고 밝혔다.
시의 공설 자연장지 조성사업은 김해추모의공원 봉안당 만장에 대비해 2018년부터 한림면 병동리 산106번지 일원에서 추진 중이다.
총사업비 29억원으로 잔디장, 수목장, 산분장 등 총 1만5,000여구를 안치할 수 있는 2만 9,527㎡ 규모로 올해 말 준공을 목표로 추진하고 있다.
