(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시 상동도서관이 가정의 달을 맞아 5월 20일 오전 10시, ‘성적 초격차를 만드는 독서력 수업’의 저자이자 독서문화연구원 대표인 김수미 강사를 초청해 제93회 도서관 아카데미를 연다.
이번 강연은 가정의 달을 기념해 초등학생 자녀를 둔 학부모를 대상으로 효과적인 독서 지도 방법과 독서 습관 형성의 중요성을 알리기 위해 마련됐다.
또한, 독서가 자녀의 학업 성취도와 자기 주도 학습 능력 향상에 미치는 긍정적 역할을 강조하며, 가정에서도 실천할 수 있는 구체적인 방법을 안내할 예정이다.
강연을 맡은 김수미 대표는 고려대학교 교육문제연구소 수석연구원을 역임하고, 고려대학교 교육학 박사과정을 수료한 독서교육 전문가다.
다양한 독서교육 프로그램을 개발·운영해 왔으며, 최근 출간한 ‘성적 초격차를 만드는 독서력 수업(2025, 빅피쉬)’을 통해 주목받고 있다.
이날 강연에서는 책과 친해지는 독서 습관을 기르는 3단계 교육법부터, 학업 성취도를 높이는 효과적인 독서법, 중학생이 되기 전 꼭 알아야 할 독서 활용 전략까지 구체적이고 다양한 실천 방법을 안내한다.
특히, 단순히 많은 책을 읽는 것에 그치지 않고, 독서를 통해 사고력과 자기주도 학습 능력을 키우는 전략적 독서 지도 방안을 중점적으로 소개할 예정이다.
김영애 상동도서관장은 “가정의 달을 맞아 준비한 이번 강연을 통해 학부모들이 자녀 교육에 필요한 실질적인 독서 지도법을 익히는 기회가 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 다양한 분야의 전문가를 초청해 시민들의 삶에 도움이 되는 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하겠다”고 말했다.

Bucheon City Sangdong Library will hold the 93rd Library Academy on May 20th at 10 AM to mark Family Month, inviting instructor Kim Soo-mi, author of ‘Reading Class that Creates a Super Gap in Grades’ and head of the Reading Culture Research Institute.
This lecture was prepared to inform parents of elementary school children about effective reading guidance methods and the importance of forming reading habits in commemoration of Family Month.
