[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 등 영호남 8개 시도의 단체장이 연계협력 및 주요 현안 과제를 논의하고, 정부가 지역 균형발전과 상생을 위한 적극적인 지원과 정책적 노력을 다할 것을 촉구하는 공동성명서를 채택했다.
박형준 부산 시장을 비롯해 대구, 광주, 울산, 전북, 전남, 경북, 경남 등 영호남 8개 시도지사가 참석하는 제19회 영호남 시도지사 협력회의가 1일 오후 4시 경남 창원컨벤션센터(CECO)에서 열렸다.
이번 회의에서 영호남 시도지사는 시도 간 연계협력과제 8건, 시도별 현안과제 8건을 심의·의결했으며, 차기 의장으로 전남도지사를 선임했다.
또, 협력회의의 성과를 공유하고 향후 협력 방안을 논의해 영호남 시도 간 연계사업과 주요 현안을 제21대 대통령 선거 후보자 공약에 반영하기로 했다.
시도 간 연계협력과제는 ▲부총리급 인구지역균형발전부(가칭) 신설(부산) ▲달빛철도 조기 착공(대구) ▲달빛철도 조속 건설 추진(광주) ▲산림청의 산림부(가칭) 승격(울산) ▲전주~대구 고속도로 건설(전북) ▲남해안 글로벌 해양·관광·문화 거점 조성(전남) ▲전주~김천」 간 단선 전철 건설(경북) ▲남해안 발전 특별법 제정(경남), 등 8건이다.
