[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 21일 진주시가족센터에서 외국인 주민과 시민이 함께하는 ‘제18회 세계인의 날 기념행사’와 ‘다 함께 다 같이’ 다문화주간 행사를 성황리에 개최했다.

이날 행사는 다문화가족 난타 공연을 시작으로 기념식, 세계 전통문화 체험, 전통의상 체험, 한국문화 교육 등 다채로운 프로그램이 진행됐다.

기념식에서는 김향미(베트남) 씨와 나디카(스리랑카) 씨가 각각 모범 결혼이민자, 외국인근로자로 표창을 받았으며, 진주다문화엄마학교 등 정착지원 유공자도 함께 수상했다.

조규일 진주시장은 “외국인 주민이 진정한 진주시민으로 안정적 정착을 위해 맞춤형 지원을 확대하겠다”고 말했다.
