[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시가 26~ 28일까지를 ‘2025 해양주간(OCEAN WEEK)’으로 지정하고, 해양산업의 미래를 조망하는 다채로운 행사를 벡스코 등지에서 개최한다.
올해로 3회째를 맞는 이번 해양주간은 부산시와 해양수산부, 해양 공공기관, 연구기관, 협회, 민간기업 등이 한자리에 모여 대한민국을 세계적인 해양강국으로 도약시키기 위한 공동의 해법을 논의하는 자리다.
주요 행사로는 ▲개회식 및 기관장 토크콘서트 ▲해양경제포럼 ▲해양산업 리더스 서밋 ▲온라인 해양 콘퍼런스 등이 마련되며, 부대행사로는 ▲제18회 부산항축제 ▲해양환경 캠페인 ‘Our Ocean, Our Action’ ▲제29회 바다사랑 전국 문예대회가 함께 열린다.
이날 오전 개회식에서는 박형준 부산시장을 비롯해 해양수산부 차관, 시의회 의장, 교육감, 부산상공회의소 회장 등이 참석해 ‘2025 해양주간’의 시작을 공식 선포한다. 이어 진행되는 기관장 토크콘서트에서는 ‘대한민국의 미래와 해양-미래세대에 전하는 바다’를 주제로 해양 분야 리더들이 미래 비전을 공유할 예정이다.
해양경제포럼은 26일 오후부터 이틀간 진행되며, 해양기능성 신소재의 경제적 가치, 북극항로 및 연관 산업의 발전 가능성 등 글로벌 해양산업의 주요 의제를 다룬다.

부산시는 이번 해양주간을 통해 산업, 환경, 문화 등 해양을 중심으로 한 융복합 전략을 강화하고, 글로벌 해양 허브도시로서의 위상을 더욱 공고히 한다는 계획이다.
