[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 청년들의 창업, 문화, 여가 활동을 아우르는 복합공간인 ‘청년행복누림센터’가 내년 7월 개관한다고 4일 밝혔다.
청년행복누림센터는 지난 3월 부북면 나노융합 국가산업단지 내에 첫 삽을 뜬 이후 현재 공정률은 약 15%에 이르고 있다.
총사업비는 70억원으로, 지방소멸대응기금 51억 9,000만원과 시 자체 예산 18억 1,000만원이 투입된다.
센터는 부지면적 2,081㎡, 연면적 1,644㎡ 규모로 지상 3층으로 이뤄지며, 청년 창업과 문화, 커뮤니티 기능을 유기적으로 연결하는 복합공간으로 조성된다.
주요 시설로는 1층에 창업지원 공간, 카페, 사무실이 마련되며, 2~3층에는 공유오피스, 공유주방, 회의실, 휴게공간이 배치돼 청년들이 자유롭게 교류하고 협업할 수 있는 유연하고 역동적인 공간으로 설계했다.
시는 공사와 병행해 운영 프로그램 개발과 인테리어 설계 등도 단계적으로 추진할 계획이다.
창업 멘토링, 창작 전시, 커뮤니티 모임 등 청년 중심의 다양한 활동 프로그램을 적극 발굴해 2026년 상반기 시범운영을 거친 후 7월 정식 개관할 예정이다.
양기규 인구정책담당관은 “청년행복누림센터는 청년 인구 유입과 정주 여건 개선에 기여할 중추 거점이 될 것”이라며 “청년들이 꿈을 실현하고 지역에 정착할 수 있도록 기반 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
