이재명 대통령이 5일 "아직 체제 정비가 명확하게 되기엔 상당한 시간이 필요한데 우리는 다 국민들로부터 위임받은 업무하는 대리인들이니 국민을 중심에 두고 현재 할 최선을 다하면 된다"고 국무위원들에게 주문했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실에서 취임 후 열린 제24차 첫 국무회의를 주재하고 모두 발언에서 "그 시간 동안도 국민들은 어려운 상황에서 고생하는데 최대한 그 시간을 좀 줄이고 싶다"며 "현재 여러분이 헌법기관으로서 법률에 의해서 하실 일들이 있지 않나"라며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "물론 매우 어색할 수 있지만 국민에게 위임받은 일을 하는 거니까 어쨌든 공직에 있는 그 기간 만큼은 각자 해야 될 최선을 다하면 될 것"이라고 했다.
또 "지금 현 상황을 각 부처 단위로 가장 잘 아실 것이기 때문에 그 범위 내에서 여러분 의견도 듣고 드릴 말씀을 드리고 여러분이 가진 권한·책임도 한순간도 소홀히 할 수 없지 않나"라며 "그래서 오늘은 각 부처 단위로 현재 현안들을 한번 체크를 해보고 싶다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 각 부처 현안들을 점검 후 이어 오후에 안전치안 점검회의를 주재한다.
