충청남도교육청이 교원 보호를 위한 현장 대응력을 끌어올리기 위해 예방교육 전문성 강화에 나섰다.
이를 위해 충남교육청은 13일 아산시 충청남도교육청과학교육원에서 ‘교육활동 침해 예방교육 강사단 심화연수’를 실시하고, 일선 학교를 지원하는 전문가 양성에 속도를 내겠다고 밝혔다.
이번 심화연수는 교육활동 침해 사안이 점차 다양화·복잡화되는 흐름에 발맞춰 예방교육 강사단의 전문성을 높이고, 현장 실천 중심의 교육자료와 사례를 공유하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
이날 연수에는 도내 각 지역에서 활동 중인 교육활동 침해 예방교육 강사단과 교육지원청의 관련 업무담당자들이 참석해, 교육활동 보호에 필요한 실천적 대응법을 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.
강사단은 현재 현직 교사 약 169명으로 구성되어 있으며, 학교 내 교육활동 침해를 예방하고 교사들의 안정적 교육활동을 보장하기 위한 교육을 직접 수행하고 있다.
이들은 학생, 학부모, 교직원을 대상으로 '교육활동 침해의 개념과 법적 근거', '침해 유형', '예방을 위한 생활 속 실천 지침' 등을 중심으로 맞춤형 교육을 진행하고 있다. 특히 최근 교육현장에서 발생하는 악성 민원, 언어폭력, 부당한 민형사적 대응 요구 등의 사례에 대해 적극 대응할 수 있도록 구성된 교육 프로그램은 현장에서도 많은 주목을 받고 있다.
연수에서는 평택대학교 차명호 교수가 ‘교육활동 침해 예방교육 운영의 실제’를 주제로 한 특강에서, 법령 해석과 실제 사례 적용법 등을 소개했으며, 노성중학교 최재석 교사는 ‘학교 현장에서의 예방교육 실천 사례’를 발표해 공감을 얻었다.
충남교육청 송명숙 교원인사과장은 “교육활동 침해 예방교육 강사단의 적극적인 활동으로 인해 교사들이 악성 민원 등으로부터 겪는 고충이 줄어들기를 바란다”며, “교원들이 마음 놓고 학생 교육에 집중할 수 있는 여건을 만들기 위해 행정적, 제도적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
