(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 17일, 인천소방본부와 협력하여 지난 13일 청량초등학교의 현장체험학습에 소방관 퇴직자 4명을 안전요원으로 시범 배치했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 시범운영은 학생들의 현장체험학습 중 안전사고를 예방하고, 학교의 안전관리 역량을 높이기 위해 추진됐다.
청량초는 에버랜드에서 다양한 체험활동을 진행했으며, 안전요원들은 학교 출발부터 현장까지 담임교사와 협력해 학생들의 안전한 인솔을 도왔다.
안전요원들은 버스 승하차 시 인원 점검, 현장 안전 점검 및 비상시 대응 준비, 학생 집결 장소 운영 등 다양한 역할을 수행하며 학생들의 안전한 체험활동을 지원했다.
인천시교육청은 이번 시범 운영을 바탕으로 제도를 보완해 모든 학교가 안전하게 체험학습을 실시 할 수 있도록 지원할 계획이며, 학교는 안전복지과에 안전요원을 신청하면 1:1 매칭방식으로 지원하게 된다.
인천시교육청 관계자는 “학생 안전은 최우선 과제”라며 “앞으로도 유관기관과 적극 협력해 체험학습의 안전관리 체계를 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
