[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 30일 오전 11시 사상구 엄궁유수지에서 ‘엄궁대교 건설사업 기공식’을 열고 본격적인 공사에 착수했다.
이날 기공식에는 박형준 부산시장을 비롯해 국회의원, 시의원, 구청장, 지역주민 등 300여 명이 참석해 착공을 축하했다.
엄궁대교는 부산 강서구 대저2동(에코델타시티)에서 사상구 엄궁동(승학터널)까지 총연장 2.91km, 왕복 6~8차로 규모의 도로를 건설하는 사업으로, 낙동강을 횡단하는 엄궁대교와 맥도교, 그리고 2곳의 교차로 설치가 포함된다. 총사업비는 3,444억 원(국비 1,550억 원, 시비 1,894억 원)이 투입되며, 2030년 완공을 목표로 하고 있다.

부산시는 사업 추진 과정에서 유관기관 및 환경단체와의 지속적인 협의를 이어가며, 친환경적이고 지속가능한 인프라 건설을 병행해 나간다는 방침이다.
박형준 부산시장은 “엄궁대교는 낙동강 횡단교량의 교통 부담을 덜고, 에코델타시티(EDC), 가덕도신공항 등 부산의 미래 성장 동력이 집중된 핵심축인 서부산의 미래 거점과 도시 전역을 유기적으로 연결하는 인프라”라며 “엄궁대교가 이들 거점을 연결하는 실질적인 연결고리 역할을 할 것으로 기대되며, 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 교통환경 개선 효과가 나타날 수 있도록 사업을 차질 없이 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
