[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 지난 30일 합천동부농협 농산물산지유통센터에서 건마늘 초매식 및 출하기원제를 열고 본격적인 마늘 경매에 들어갔다.
이날 행사에는 김윤철 군수를 비롯해 정봉훈 합천군의회 의장, 장진영 경상남도의원, 도기문 농협중앙회 합천군지부장, 합천동부농협 노태윤조합장, 합천유통(주) 장문철 대표, 그 외 농업인 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 첫 경매가 성황리에 진행됐다.
올해 경매는 9월 말까지 매주 월요일에서 토요일까지 전자경매로 실시되고 오전 10시 30분까지 입고된 물량에 대해 11시부터 경매가 시작될 예정이다.
또한, 합천새남부농협에서도 2일 오후 3시에 첫 경매를 시작으로, 7월 31일까지 매주 월, 수, 금요일 쌍백면 합천새남부농협 산지유통센터에서 전자경매를 실시할 예정이다.
이를 통해 동부권과 남부권 등 지역별로 산지 경매를 분산 개최하여 농업인들이 가까운 곳에서 편리하게 경매에 참여할 수 있도록 했다.
농가의 고령화에 따른 장거리 이동의 불편함을 해소하고자 2022년부터 실시한 마늘 산지 이동경매는 각 농가가 사전에 해당 지역농협으로 출하물량을 신청하면 합천유통(주)과 지역농협이 협의하여 추가 경매를 실시하는 방식으로, 올해는 신청량에 따라 경매 일정을 탄력적으로 조정할 계획이다.
합천군은 2023년 마늘 경매를 통해 9,739톤을 출하하고 361억 원의 실적을 달성했다.
