[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 지난 1일 군청 대회의실에서 직원들과 함께 민선8기 4년차 첫 정례조회를 개최했다.

이날 정례조회에서는 기관 및 군정유공자에 대한 표창 수여를 시작으로, 민선8기 3년간의 주요 성과를 공유하고 앞으로의 당면 현안에 대해 차질 없는 업무 수행을 당부하는 시간을 가졌다.

민선8기 3년간의 주요 성과로는 두무산 양수발전소 유치, 합천 옥천고분군의 유네스코 세계문화유산 등재, 청년 신혼부부 행복주택 등 총 90호 규모의 청년 클러스터 조성 기반 마련이 있다. 

또한 2025년 공공토지 비축사업 공모에 선정되었으며, 농촌협약 및 농촌공간정비 등 농림축산식품부 주관 공모를 통해 약 1,400억 원의 재원을 확보했다.

이와 함께 2025년도 재해예방사업 분야에서는 6개 지구에 국도비 422억 원을 확보했고, 전국 규모 체육대회를 유치하여 스포츠 중심도시로 도약할 기반을 마련했다.

군은 앞으로 오도산 양수발전소 유치, 합천역세권 주변 신도시 개발 등 미래 신성장동력 사업을 적극 발굴하고, 청년활력타운 조성 등을 통해 청년 주거 안정과 미래농업 기반을 마련하며, 누구나 즐길 수 있는 관광 및 스포츠 인프라 확충을 통해 희망찬 군정을 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

김윤철 합천군수는 “민선8기 마지막 1년을 남겨둔 시점에서 군정 주요 현안 및 공약사업에 대해 최종 점검이 필요한 시기”라며 “현안 사업과 공약 사업 등 계획된 사업들의 추진 상황을 점검해 지연되고 있거나 문제점이 있는 부진 사업에 대한 대책과 향후 계획 등을 면밀히 검토할 것”을 당부했다.
