(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 8일, 수도권의 대표 관광명소 ‘계양아라온’의 포시즌가든에 10만 송이 백합이 만개해 방문객들을 맞이한다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, 계양아라온 포시즌가든은 매력적인 수변경관과 어우러진 은은한 백합 향기와 아름다운 꽃밭의 장관이 펼쳐져 무더운 여름, 일상에 지친 시민들에게 시원하고 아름다운 휴식 공간을 선사할 예정이다.
이번 백합은 7월 11일부터 8월 3일까지 절정으로 만개할 것으로 보인다.
‘포시즌가든(선주지동 269)’은 약 4,000㎡(약 1,200평)의 규모로, 지난 봄에는 34만 본의 노란 수선화로 눈길을 사로잡았다.
계양구는 이 공간에 여름꽃인 백합을 식재해 방문객들이 꽃의 향기와 일상의 여유를 함께 누릴 수 있도록 포토존과 쉼터를 함께 마련했다.
한편, 계양구는 계양아라온을 수도권을 대표하는 사계절 관광지로 활성화하기 위해 지속적인 경관 개선 사업을 추진하고 있다.
