충남 부여군(군수 박정현)이 지난 8일, 규암면 외리 209-10 일원에 ‘규암누리센터’를 공식 개관하며 농촌중심지활성화사업의 주요 기반시설을 본격 가동했다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번에 문을 연 규암누리센터는 2017년 농림축산식품부의 농촌중심지활성화사업(선도지구) 공모에서 선정돼 총 80억 원의 사업비가 투입된 대형 프로젝트다. 2024년 1월 첫 삽을 뜬 이후 12월까지 약 1년간의 공사를 거쳐 마침내 주민 품으로 돌아왔다.
규암누리센터는 단순한 복합건물 그 이상이다. 회의실을 포함해 마을학교, 요리교실, 마을카페, 공동육아나눔터, 주차장 등 다양한 커뮤니티 기능을 집약해 규암면의 중심 기능을 복원하고 배후마을과의 연계 서비스 강화를 목표로 하고 있다. 특히 지역 주민의 소통 공간이자 교육·돌봄·여가 기능이 집약된 생활거점으로서의 역할이 기대된다.
