(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) ㈔세계여성평화그룹(IWPG) 글로벌 9국(글로벌국장 임미숙)이 지난 14일 수봉문화회관에서 ㈔한국미술협회 인천광역시지회(회장 강형덕)와 협력 체계를 구축하는 상호협력 업무협약(MOU) 체결식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
세계여성평화그룹에 따르면, 인천 미술인들의 공간인 한국미술협회 인천광역시지회는 인천시 미술 발전을 위해 창작 활동과 국제 교류전 사업, 상설 및 순회 전시에 관한 사업, 작품 전시회 개최, 미술작품 공모전, 초중고생 미술실기대회, 지역사회 미술 봉사활동에 관한 사업을 펼치고 있다.
강형덕 한국미술협회 인천시지회장은 “IWPG 단체를 알게 돼 기쁘다. 차후 인천미술협회 미술대회 및 캠페인에 협업 활동과 여성, 예술의 시너지로 평화 문화를 확산하는데 함께 하도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
IWPG 임미숙 글로벌국장은 “IWPG 평화사랑 그림그리기 국제대회 예선 심사와 특별상 시상을 해준 것에 감사하다. IWPG와 함께 세상에 필요한 평화를 이뤄가기를 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, IWPG는 유엔 경제사회이사회(ECOSOC)와 글로벌소통국(DGC)에 등록된 국제 여성 NGO로, 현재 전 세계 122개국에 115개 지부와 회원이 있으며, 68개국 800여 개 협력단체와 함께 활동하고 있다.
