[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 지난 16일부터 20일까지 합천군 전역에 기록적인 폭우가 쏟아져 관측 사상 유례없는 피해를 불러올 수 있는 상황이 전개됐다.
대병면에는 712mm, 군 평균으로도 500mm가 넘는 강우량이 기록됐다.
특히 가회면은 19일 9시부터 15시까지 6시간 동안 269mm가 내렸는데, 이는 200년 빈도의 확률강우량인 229.1mm를 초과한 수치였다.
그럼에도 인명 피해가 단 한 건도 발생하지 않은 것은 합천군이 초동 단계부터 상황을 면밀히 파악하고 신속하게 대응했기 때문으로 평가된다.

○ 단 4일, 합천 전역을 집어삼킨 ‘물폭탄’
기상청이 호우경보를 발효하자 합천군은 전 부서와 읍·면 공무원이 모두 참여하는 비상근무 체제를 가동했다.

7월 25일 현재 합천군의 전체 응급복구율은 40%로 집계됐다. 군은 현재 읍·면사무소를 통한 오프라인 창구와 국민재난안전포털을 통한 온라인 창구를 동시에 운영하며 피해접수를 받고 있다.
