[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 유네스코 세계유산인 가야고분군의 등재 2주년을 기념해 특별사진전 ‘동행(同行)’을 오는 14일까지 합천군청 1층 로비에서 개최하고 있다.

가야고분군은 연맹이라는 독특한 정치체계를 유지하면서 주변의 중앙 집권적 고대국가와 병존하였던 가야문명을 실증하는 독보적인 증거로, 동아시아 고대 문명의 한 유형을 보여주는 중요한 유적임을 인정받아 2023년 9월 24일 세계유산으로 등재됐다. 

특히, 합천 옥전고분군은 교통의 결절지인 황강가 구릉지에 위치하며 다른 가야 정치체 및 주변국과 활발히 교류했던 모습을 잘 보여준다.

전시주제이며 제목인 ‘동행’은 세계유산에 함께 등재된 7개 가야고분군의 역사적 교류와 문화적 화합을 상징하며, 이번 전시는 고대 가야의 문화적 독자성과 지역 간 협력을 조명하고, 영·호남 지자체 간 상생과 동반 발전을 위해 7개 가야고분군 지자체와 가야고분군 세계유산통합관리지원단에서 기획했다.

전시작품은 고고학적으로 가치 있는 7개 가야고분군과 고대 동시기에 존재했던 일본의 모즈·후루이치 고분군의 풍경을 생생하게 담아내며, 동아시아 고분 문화의 다양성을 대중이 한눈에 확인할 수 있도록 구성했다.

특별사진전은 합천군청에 이어 창녕박물관(8.25~9.19), 김해 국립가야역사문화센터(9.24), 국립김해박물관(9.26) 등에서 순회 전시될 예정이다.

군 관계자는 “가야고분군은 한국의 고대사적 중요성을 넘어 동아시아 고분문화의 다양성을 보여주는 세계유산 ”이라며 “이번 특별사진전을 통해 가야고분군의 세계유산으로서의 위상을 널리 알리고, 향후 지속 가능한 세계유산 보존과 활용의 중요성을 되새기는 계기가 될 것이다”고 전했다.

Hapcheon County is holding a special photo exhibition, "Donghaeng," in the first-floor lobby of Hapcheon County Office until the 14th to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Gaya Tombs' inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Gaya Tombs are unique evidence of the Gaya civilization, which maintained a unique confederation-style political system while coexisting with neighboring centralized ancient states.
