신대호 김해부시장 “맞춤형 지원과 사회통합 정책 필요”

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 지난 27일 김해시청 소회의실에서 신대호 부시장 주재로 ‘김해시 외국인 및 다문화가족 지원협의회’를 개최했다고 28일 밝혔다. 

회의는 신 부시장을 위원장으로 학계, 시민사회, 유관기관 관계자, 다문화가족 대표 등 20여 명의 위원이 참석한 가운데 2025년 다문화가족 지원사업을 논의했다. 

세부적으로 ‣2024년 외국인주민 및 다문화가족 지원사업 추진성과보고 ‣2025년 중점추진사업 보고 ‣유관기관 추진 다문화 지원정책을 논의하며 보완 방안에 대한 의견을 교환했다. 위원들은 외국인주민과 다문화가족이 지역사회의 당당한 일원으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 맞춤형 지원과 사회통합 정책이 필요하다는 데 뜻을 모았다.

신대호 부시장은 “김해시는 3만여 명이 넘는 외국인 주민과 다문화가족이 함께 살아가는 전국 대표적인 다문화 도시”라며 “위원들께서 주신 고견을 시정에 충실히 반영해 모두가 차별과 소외 없이 존중받으며 살아가는 따뜻한 김해시를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.

김해시는 김해시가족센터를 중심으로 한국어교육, 자녀성장지원, 가족상담, 사회통합프로그램 등 다문화가족을 위한 다양한 사업을 추진 중이며 앞으로도 협의회를 통한 정책자문과 현장소통을 강화해 실효성 있는 다문화 지원정책을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
