파주시의회는 16일 제259회 임시회를 개회하고 오는 22일까지 7일간의 의사일정에 들어갔다.

이날 열린 제1차 본회의에서 윤희정 의원은 5분 발언을 통해 파주시의 차별화된 공연·전시 콘텐츠 혁신과 다목적 문화 인프라 확충을 통한 도시 브랜드 가치 제고의 필요성을 강조했다.
또한 최창호 의원은 교하 3·1 만세운동 유적지인 교하헌병주재소 터의 보존과 역사교육의 장소로 활용할 것을 제안했다.
이번 임시회에서는 조례안 26건, 동의안 16건, 의견청취안 1건, 보고안 5건, 철회 동의안 1건 등 총 49건의 안건이 상정돼 심의될 예정이다.
세부 일정으로는 16일 의회운영위원회와 제1차 본회의를 시작으로 21일까지 상임위원회 안건 심의가 진행되며, 22일 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 폐회한다.
박대성 의장은 “시민의 삶과 직결되는 안건들에 대해 면밀한 검토가 필요하다”며 “민생 현안 해결을 위해 의회와 집행부가 긴밀히 협력하고, 회기 중 논의되는 대안들이 시민이 체감할 수 있는 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
