지난 16일, (사)대한노인회 고양시일산서구지회가 주최한 ‘제29회 노인의 날 기념행사’가 하늘빛광성교회에서 성황리에 열렸다.
이날 행사에는 관내 경로당 회원과 내빈 400여 명이 참석해 노인의 날을 축하했다.

특히, 이날 행사에서는 노인복지 증진에 공헌한 모범노인 및 노인복지기여자 등 28명의 회원에게 고양시장상, 시의회의장상, 국회의원상, 지회장상 등이 수여돼 그간의 노고를 치하했다.
김광익 지회장은 기념사를 통해 “항상 솔선수범하는 자세로 지역사회 발전에 기여해주신 어르신들께 깊은 감사를 드린다”며, “앞으로도 고양시와 대한노인회가 함께 발전할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이동환 고양시장은 축사에서 “평생을 헌신하신 어르신들의 노고를 잊지 않겠다”며 “앞으로도 어르신들의 건강과 행복을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
