성기황 경기도의원, 학부모폴리스와 간담회 개최

경기도의회 교육기획위원회 성기황 의원(더불어민주당, 군포2)이 지난 10월 30일 경기도의회 군포상담소에서 학부모폴리스 관계자들과 간담회를 열고, 현장의 어려움을 청취하며 지원 확대 방안을 논의했다.

이날 참석한 학부모폴리스 관계자들은 “학교 주변 유해환경 감시, 학생 등하굣길 안전 확보 등 다양한 활동을 하고 있지만 현실적으로 예산과 행정적 지원이 부족해 운영에 어려움이 있다”고 토로했다.

성기황 의원은 “최근 아동 대상 범죄와 학교 주변의 위험 요소가 증가함에 따라 학부모폴리스의 역할이 더욱 중요해지고 있다”며, “안전한 학교 환경 조성을 위해 도교육청과 교육지원청 차원에서도 적극적인 관심과 지원이 필요하다”고 강조했다.

성 의원은 이어서 “학부모폴리스 활동은 자원봉사 성격이 강하지만 학생 안전을 지키는 공적 역할을 수행하고 있다”며, “이들의 활동이 안정적으로 이어질 수 있도록 법적·제도적 기반을 확립해야 한다”고 밝혔다.

성기황 의원은 “이번 논의를 계기로 학부모폴리스와의 지속적인 협력과 소통을 이어가며, 학교 안전망이 더욱 촘촘해질 수 있도록 제도적 기반 마련에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Representative Seong Ki-hwang (Democratic Party of Korea, Gunpo 2), a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Education Planning Committee, held a meeting with Parents' Police officials at the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Gunpo Counseling Center on October 30th.
