[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 인공 지능 생태계를 위한 반도체 제조 기술의 혁신'을 주제로 ‘KISM 2025 BUSAN’(Korean International Semiconductor Conference & Exhibition on Manufacturing Technology 2025)이 해운대 파라다이스호텔에서 10~ 14일까지 열린다.
올해로 4년 연속 부산에서 개최되는 이번 국제학술대회는 반도체 제조공정과 소재·부품·장비 기술의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 목표로 마련됐다.
반도체 기술 혁신 주제… 세계 15개국 전문가 참여
이번 학술대회는 ‘인공지능 생태계를 위한 반도체 제조 기술의 혁신(Re:Innovation of Semiconductor Manufacturing for AI Ecosystem)’을 주제로 전 세계 15개국에서 1천여 명의 산·학·연·관 전문가가 참석한다.
포스터와 메모리 기술 전망 세션, AI 및 반도체 중심 특강(튜토리얼), 국제 산업 세션, 기업 전시회와 네트워킹 행사 등 폭넓은 프로그램이 구성돼 참가자 간 기술 교류가 활발히 이뤄질 예정이다.
SK하이닉스·삼성전자 등 선도기업 기조강연
행사에서는 세계적 석학과 업계 대표 기업들이 총 300여 편의 연구논문을 발표한다.
SK하이닉스 강지호 부사장은 ‘미래 인공지능 메모리 장치의 통합 한계를 극복하기 위한 반도체 기술 동향’을, 삼성전자 윤보언 박사는 ‘3차원 반도체(3D ICs) 시대의 평탄화 기술 혁신’을 주제로 기조강연을 진행한다.
또한 국내외 소재·부품·장비 기업과 글로벌 학계 전문가들이 참여해 첨단 반도체 기술의 연구개발과 사업화 동향을 공유한다.
개회식은 11일 오전 11시에 열리며, 학계와 산업계, 연구기관 관계자 등 300여 명이 참석해 축하했다.
“부산, 반도체 산업 허브로 도약”
박진섭 대회장은 “4회째를 맞은 국제학술대회를 통해 반도체 제조 기술의 초격차 달성을 지원하고, 대한민국 소·부·장 산업의 기술 방향을 제시하겠다”고 밝혔다.
박동석 부산시 첨단산업국장은 “부산이 첨단기술과 산업이 공존하는 글로벌 허브 도시로 자리매김할 것”이라며 “이번 학술대회가 부산의 반도체 생태계 발전을 이끌 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다.

BUSAN — The “KISM 2025 BUSAN” (Korean International Semiconductor Conference & Exhibition on Manufacturing Technology 2025) opened at Paradise Hotel Busan in Haeundae on November 10 for a five-day run through November 14 under the theme “Re:Innovation of Semiconductor Manufacturing for AI Ecosystem.”
Now in its fourth consecutive year in Busan, the international conference aims to strengthen the global competitiveness of semiconductor manufacturing processes and core technologies in materials, components, and equipment.
15 Countries Join to Discuss Semiconductor Innovation
More than 1,000 experts from academia, industry, research institutes, and government agencies across 15 countries are taking part in the event. Various sessions — including poster presentations, memory technology outlook discussions, AI and semiconductor tutorials, technical programs, corporate exhibitions, and networking events — are designed to promote extensive exchange of knowledge and ideas among participants.
Keynotes by SK hynix and Samsung Electronics
A total of about 300 research papers will be presented during the conference, led by world-renowned scholars and leading industry experts.
Jihyo Kang, Executive Vice President of SK hynix, will deliver a keynote on “Semiconductor Technology Trends to Overcome the Integration Limits of Future AI Memory Devices,” while Boeon Yoon of Samsung Electronics will present on “Innovations in Planarization Technology for the Era of 3D Integrated Circuits (3D ICs).”
Global material, component, and equipment companies, together with academic researchers from around the world, will also share insights into the latest R&D and commercialization trends in cutting-edge semiconductor technology.
Opening Ceremony Draws 300 Participants
The opening ceremony, held on November 11 at 11 a.m., brought together around 300 participants representing academia, industry, and research organizations to celebrate the start of the event.
“Busan to Emerge as a Semiconductor Hub”
Conference Chair Park Jin-seop said, “Marking its fourth year, this international conference will support Korea’s pursuit of technological leadership in semiconductor manufacturing and present a roadmap for the country’s materials, parts, and equipment industries.”
Park Dong-seok, Director of Busan’s Advanced Industry Bureau, added, “Busan aims to become a global hub city where advanced technology and industry coexist. This conference will serve as an important milestone in advancing Busan’s semiconductor ecosystem.”
