군은 지난 4일 준공식을 가진 도안복합문화공간 내 ‘청춘농담(農談)누리’ 숙박시설에 지난 주말 첫 숙박객이 탄생했다고 11일 밝혔다.
‘청춘농담누리’는 창업과 귀농을 준비하는 청년들에게 숙박과 업무, 교류가 가능한 복합형 공간으로, 준공 직후부터 관심이 집중되고 있다.
첫 숙박객인 임덕승 씨(35세)는 귀농을 준비 중인 청년 창업인으로, 증평 지역의 스마트팜과 농업현장을 둘러보기 위해 이틀간 ‘청춘농담누리’에 머물렀다.
그는 “귀농 상담이나 현장 방문을 위해 타지역을 찾을 때 숙박비 부담이 컸는데, 지자체에서 이런 공간을 무료로 제공한다는 사실이 놀라웠다”며 “짧은 이틀이었지만 지역 농업인들과 교류하며 벌써 증평사람이 된 기분”이라고 소감을 전했다.
군은 연말까지 ‘청춘농담누리’를 귀농·귀촌 상담자 중 희망자에게 무료 숙박시설로 제공하고, 시범운영 기간 이용자 의견을 수렴해 내년부터 정식 운영에 들어갈 예정이다.

한편, 도안복합문화공간은 농촌지역의 문화인프라 확충과 인구유입 기반 마련을 위해 추진된 사업으로, 군은 2022년부터 충청북도 균형발전사업과 행정안전부 ‘고향올래 조성사업’ 공모를 통해 국·도비 21억9000만원을 확보해 ‘도안창고플러스’와 ‘청춘농담누리’ 두 개 시설로 조성했다.
도안창고플러스는 지난해 6월 준공 이후 인형극, 음악회, 군 비전설명회 등 약 100여 회의 행사를 개최하며 지역주민의 대표적 문화·소통 공간으로 자리 잡았다.
지난달 준공한 청춘농담누리는 소규모 커뮤니티 공간, 공유오피스, 미팅룸, 숙박시설 등을 갖춰 청년창업인과 귀농 희망자들이 머물며 지역을 체험할 수 있는 복합 거점으로 기능하고 있다.
군 관계자는 “청춘농담누리는 청년창업인과 귀농인을 이어주는 ‘게스트하우스형 교류 플랫폼’으로 운영할 계획”이라며 “다양한 분야의 사람들이 머물며 협력하고, 증평의 새로운 활력을 만들어가는 공간이 되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
