【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 11일 증평종합스포츠센터에서‘제25회 증평군 농업인의 날’기념행사를 성황리에 개최했다.
증평군농업인단체협의회 주최로 열린 이번 행사는 ‘희망 농촌! 미래 농업! 새로운 미래 증평’을 실현하기 위해 어려운 여건 속에서도 지역 농업·농촌발전에 헌신한 농업인들의 지난 1년간의 노고를 격려하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 농업인을 비롯한 관계자 500여 명이 참석한 가운데 개회식 및 화합의 축제 한마당 순서로 진행됐다.
행사에서는 증평 농업발전에 선도적인 역할을 해온 연명희 회장이 ‘2025년 증평군 농업인대상’을 수상하며 지역 농업인의 자긍심을 높였다.
또한 지역 숙원사업인 윤모아파트 정비 문제 해결에 앞장선 이재영 군수와 임호선 국회의원에게 감사패가 전달되며 뜨거운 박수를 받았다.
이재영 군수는 “농업발전에 앞장서 온 농업인 여러분의 노고에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며 “오늘 이 자리가 농업과 농촌의 소중함을 나누고, 모두가 함께 즐기며 화합하는 뜻깊은 시간이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
한편 매년 11월 11일은 농업인의 날로, 농업이 국민경제의 근간임을 국민들에게 인식시키고 농업인의 긍지와 자부심을 고취시키며 노고를 위로하기 위한 목적으로 지난 1996년 지정됐다.
