음성군농업인단체연합회가 주관한 이번 행사에는 조병옥 음성군수, 김영호 음성군의회 의장 등 내빈들을 비롯한 각 기관단체장, 농업 관련 단체, 농업인 등 900여 명이 참석했다.
이날 1부 행사에서는 음성군 화훼연합회 최승철 사무국장을 비롯해 음성군 농업 발전을 위해 노력한 우수농업인 등 총 17명에 대한 시상이 있었다.
2부 행사에서는 체험행사, 레크레이션 게임, 장기 자랑 및 축하공연 등 지역 농업인의 화합행사를 마련해 모두가 즐길 수 있는 축제의 시간을 가졌다.
조병옥 군수는 “유난히 힘들었던 올 한 해를 슬기롭게 극복한 농업인 여러분께 감사와 격려의 말씀을 드린다”며 “특히 최근 발생한 대소면 화학가스 누출사고로 많은 군민이 불안과 어려움을 겪으셨는데, 군은 신속한 수습과 재발 방지에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
정용태 음성군농업인단체연합회장은 “많은 농업인이 행사에 참가해 즐겨 주셔서 감사하다. 앞으로도 음성군농업인단체가 하나로 뭉쳐 군 농업 발전을 위한 농업인대회가 되도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
