【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 진천읍 지사협(민간위원장 송석현)은 진천읍 행정복지센터를 방문해 한랭질환(저체온증, 동상 등)에 취약한 소외계층 21개 가구에 겨울 이불 세트를 제공했다고 12일 밝혔다.
이날 전달식에는 지역사회보장협의체 위원과 관계자 20여 명이 참석했으며, 해당 사업은 취약계층 냉난방 물품 지원과 사랑의 난방용품 지원사업의 하나로 추진됐다.
전달된 겨울 이불 세트(이불, 깔개, 베개)는 관내 복지기관 4개소를 통해 평소 겨울철 추위를 이기기 어려운 취약계층을 대상으로 전달됐다.
송석현 민간위원장은 “이번에 전달해 드린 겨울 이불이 매년 강한 추위로 신체 건강이 취약한 소외계층에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 취약계층들을 위한 다양한 지원 활동들을 추진해나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 이번 활동은 진천읍 지사협이 4년째 추진하고 있는 특화사업으로, 본격적인 더위가 찾아오는 여름철에 앞서 6월에는 냉방 용품 일체를 소외계층들에게 전달한 바 있다.
