【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=제22기 민주평화통일자문회의 증평군협의회(회장 김도중)가 18일 군청 대회의실에서 출범식을 갖고 공식활동을 알렸다.
민주평화통일자문회의는 대통령 직속 헌법기구로, 평화통일 정책 수립에 관한 자문과 평화통일 기반 구축을 위한 다양한 사업을 추진해 오고 있다.
이날 출범식에는 이재영 군수를 비롯해 자문위원 40여 명이 참석해 새롭게 출발하는 제22기 협의회 출범을 축하하고 앞으로의 다짐과 비전을 공유했다.
행사는 국민의례를 시작으로 협의회 구성 현황 보고, 위촉장 및 배지 전수, 자문위원 선서 순으로 진행됐다.
이어 열린 첫 정기회의에서는 제22기 민주평통 활동 방향과 자문회의 위원들의 향후 활동에 대한 포부를 공유하고, 남은 2025년 사업 계획에 대한 의견을 수렴했다.
김도중 협의회장은 취임사에서 “우리가 서로의 지혜와 노력을 모을 때 평화의 가능성은 현실이 되고, 공존의 길은 더 넓어지며, 번영의 미래는 더욱 찬란해진다”며 “자문위원 여러분들과 함께 평화와 통일을 향한 군민 공감대를 확산시키고 증평 발전을 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이재영 군수는 “22기 민주평통 증평군협의회의 힘찬 출범을 진심으로 축하드린다”며 “평화통일을 위한 협의회의 다양한 활동에 군에서도 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 격려했다.
한편, 제22기 민주평통 임기는 2025년 11월 1일부터 2027년 10월 31일까지 2년이며, 이달 27일에는 충북 민주평통 지역회의(청주시 상당구청), 내달 2일 전체회의(고양시 KINTEX)가 개최될 예정이다.
