【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 금왕읍만의 차별화된 도시재생 활성화 계획수립을 위해 도시재생 주민설명회 및 도시재생대학을 진행했다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 설명회는 지난 12일 금왕읍 행정복지센터에서 개최됐으며, 2026년 도시재생사업 신규공모에 따른 사업 방향을 설명하고 주민 의견 청취를 통한 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
군은 설명회와 함께 내년 공모 준비에 따라 대상 지역 현안 도출과 사업 콘텐츠 발굴을 위해 ‘2025년 음성군 도시재생대학 주민역량강화(사업발굴 심화과정)’을 지난 12일, 13일 이틀간 진행했다.
이번 도시재생대학은 2026년 도시재생사업 신규공모 대상지 내 도시재생사업에 관심 있는 주민을 대상으로 주민역량강화와 도시재생사업 추진을 위한 지역 맞춤형 현안을 발굴하기 위해 운영됐다.
특히 국토교통부가 추진 중인 ‘우리동네살리기 공모’와 관련해 노후 저층 주거지역의 정주 여건 개선 내용을 중심으로 △마을자원 찾기 △마을의 비전 정하기 △실행 사업 및 세부 사업별 프로그램 도출 등 실습 위주의 토론식 교육으로 구성해 실효성을 높였다.
군은 이번 설명회와 도시재생대학을 통해 도출된 주민 의견과 사업 아이템을 바탕으로 2026년 도시재생사업 신규공모를 위한 자료로 활용할 계획이다.
김영환 음성군도시재생지원센터장은 “도시재생은 주민들의 지속적인 관심과 협력을 바탕으로 완성해 가는 과정”이라며 “이번 도시재생대학을 통해 금왕읍 지역의 현안을 진단했고, 주민들의 의견을 충분히 반영해 공모에 선정될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
군 관계자는 “이번 설명회와 도시재생대학 과정으로 수렴한 주민 수요 조사 결과와 의견을 충분히 반영한 계획을 수립해, 2026년 공모사업 선정과 함께 금왕읍에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 수 있도록 준비에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
