【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 4-H연합회는 한 해 동안 가꾼 김장배추 2천 포기(1천 100만원 상당)를 지역 취약계층에 기탁했다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번에 전달된 배추는 군 4-H 연합회원들이 2025년도 4-H 공동 과제포에서 직접 재배한 것으로, 다가오는 겨울을 앞두고 어려운 이웃들의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
또한, 4-H 연합회는 생거진천 케어팜에서 진행되는 김장 축제 행사에도 참여해, 직접 담근 김장김치를 관내 소외계층에게 전달할 계획이다.
성기빈 회장은 “회원들이 한 해 동안 정성을 다해 키운 배추를 나눔을 통해 이웃에게 따뜻한 마음을 전할 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 나눔 활동으로 진천 농업발전과 지역사회 상생에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.
남기순 군 농업기술센터 소장은 “단순한 영농 활동을 넘어 지역사회에 기부와 봉사로 이바지하는 모습에서 청년 농업인들의 성숙한 공동체 의식을 엿볼 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 진천군 농업의 미래를 책임질 청년들을 위한 다양한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
