【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 추진 중인 ‘증평3일반산업단지 조성사업’과‘보건복지타운 연구소, 실증센터 유치’가 투자 가지가 높은 100대 사업으로 선정됐다.
21일 군에 따르면, 한국공공자치연구원과 매일경제TV가 전국 지자체의 대표 투자사업을 심사해 선정하는 ‘대한민국 100대 지역투자 유망사업’에 2개의 사업이 나란히 이름을 올렸다.
증평3일반산업단지는 도안면 송정리 일원에 조성되는 약 77만㎡ 규모의 산업단지로, 군은 바이오(BT), 반도체(IT), 이차전지(GT) 등 미래 전략산업을 유치해 지역 전략산업 육성 및 산업 클러스터를 구축한다는 구상이다.
‘보건복지타운 연구소, 실증센터 유치’사업은 보건소, 요양원, 가족센터 등이 집적된 증평군 보건복지타운과 연계해 의료연구기관과 산학연 협력시설을 적극 유치하는 사업이다.
급성장 중인 첨단바이오·의료헬스 산업에 대응해 연구·실증 기능을 확보함으로써 지역 보건의료 역량과 산업 경쟁력을 동시에 끌어올린다는 전략이다.
군은 글로벌 경기침체 등 어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 마련하기 위해 대·중견기업과 공공·연구기관 유치에 역량을 집중하고 있다.
특히 이번 선정은 증평군이 첨단산업 중심도시로 도약할 잠재력을 공인받은 결과라는 평가다.
