【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 군민의 삶의 질과 사회 변화 흐름을 종합적으로 분석한 ‘2024년 증평군 사회조사 보고서’를 발간했다고 20일 밝혔다.
이번 조사는 지난해 5월, 표본으로 선정된 960가구의 15세 이상 가구원을 대상으로 실시됐으며, 건강·복지·사회통합·안전·환경 등 14개 부문 58개 항목으로 구성됐다.
조사에 따르면, 가구 월평균 소득은 ‘300만~400만 원 미만’(19.5%)이 가장 높은 비중을 보였다.
특히 300만 원 미만 가구 비율은 46.0%로 전년 57.6% 대비 11.6% 감소해 군민 경제 수준이 전반적으로 개선된 것으로 나타났다.
또 자기 삶 만족도는 6.62점, 지역생활 만족도도 6.62점으로 나타나 전반적으로 긍정적인 평가가 이어졌다.
노인의 주요 고충은 경제적 문제(35.1%), 외로움·고독(24.0%), 건강 문제(19.3%) 순으로 나타났다.
또 19세 이상 군민의 66.6%는 ‘노후를 준비하고 있다’고 응답해 노후 대비 필요성에 대한 인식이 확산되고 있는 것으로 분석됐다.
결혼에 대한 태도에서는 ‘긍정적’응답이 62.6%로 ‘부정적’(4.3%)보다 압도적으로 높았다.
출산 의향에서는 ‘남녀 구별 없이 낳겠다’(83.4%)가 가장 높은 비중을 차지했으며, 선호 자녀 수는 ‘남녀 구별 없이 2명’(42.1%)이 가장 많았다.
반면 출산 의향이 없는 이유로는 양육비 부담(50.3%), 과도한 경쟁과 교육 환경 부담(32.5%), 나보다 나은 삶을 물려줄 수 없어서(24.1%) 등이 꼽혔다.
군이 타 지자체 대비 살기 좋은 도시인지 묻는 질문에 ‘상위 수준’이라고 응답한 비율은 53.7%로, ‘하위 수준’(3.7%)보다 월등히 높았다.
특히 ‘상위 수준’ 응답은 2022년 대비 7.4% 증가해 군에 대한 정주 만족도가 지속적으로 향상되는 추세다.
군 관계자는 “이번 사회조사 결과는 군민의 삶의 질을 정확하게 진단하고 향후 정책 방향을 마련하는데 중요한 지표가 된다”며 “조사 결과를 바탕으로 경제·복지·청년 분야의 실질적 지원 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
