[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시의회가 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 어울리는 '따뜻하고 공정한 통합사회' 구현을 위한 의정 활동의 기반을 다졌다. 시의회는 25일 의회 대회의실에서 전체 의원과 직원을 대상으로 사회적 장애인식개선 교육을 진행하며 장애 공감 능력 향상에 집중했다.
이번 교육은 의회 구성원들이 장애에 대한 깊은 공감의 자세를 갖추고 이를 정책과 일상 업무에 반영하도록 독려하기 위해 마련되었다. 교육은 마선옥 ㈜꿈제작소 대표가 강연을 맡아 전문성과 현장감을 더했다.

마 대표는 “장애를 이해하는 것은 단순한 지식의 차원을 넘어, 장애인과 비장애인이 상호 존중하고 배려하는 사회를 만드는 중요한 과정”이라고 강조했다.
손태화 의장은 “장애에 대한 편견과 차별이 여전히 해결되어야 할 중요한 사회적 과제로 남아있다. 이러한 교육을 통해 장애에 대한 올바른 이해를 넓히고, 서로의 다양성을 존중하는 조직문화를 만들어 가야 한다"고 밝혔다.
