【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 우량 기업 유치를 위한 산단 인프라 조성, 다양한 기업 맞춤형 지원을 강화하며 기업하기 좋은 도시로 자리매김하고 있다.
군에는 2025년 10월 기준 충북 도내에서 세 번째로 많은 1,285개 기업이 있으며 현재 5개 신규 산단을 조성 중이다.
먼저 2019년부터 추진한 이월면 사당리 일원 진천 테크노폴리스 산단은 약 806,611㎡ 규모로 2,178억원의 예산을 투입해 조성했다.
오는 2026년 상반기 사업 준공인가를 앞두고 있으며, ㈜오리온 등 국내 주요 기업의 입주로 준공 전 100% 분양을 달성했다.
문백면 은탄리 일원에 조성 중인 진천 메가폴리스 산단은 약 1,454,545㎡ 규모로 2023년 8월 산업단지계획이 승인·고시돼 현재 토지보상협의 절차를 추진 중이다.
산업단지 진입도로·공업용수도·공공폐수처리시설 등 주요 기반시설의 조성 또한 정상적으로 진행되고 있다.
또한 초평면 은암리 일원의 진천 초평산단(약 1,223,140㎡)은 2024년 1월 산업단지 지정계획 고시 이후 인허가 절차를 밟고 있다.
지난달 토지이용계획 변경, 환경영향평가(초안) 접수에 따른 주민 등의 의견 청취를 위한 합동 설명회를 개최했으며, 관계 부서 협의 등 행정절차가 순조롭게 추진되고 있다.
아울러 진천읍 장관리 일원의 진천 장관산단(약 495,867㎡)은 2024년 4월 충청북도 산업단지 지정계획 고시에 이어, 2024년 9월 산업단지계획 승인 신청, 각종 인허가 절차를 진행 중이다.
군은 우량기업이 지속해서 진천에 둥지를 틀 수 있도록 인프라를 조성하는 한편 기업 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 지원책 마련에도 최선을 다하고 있다.
현재 △제조물책임 보험 지원(1,900만원) △중소기업 수출물류비 지원(1,900만원) △기업 홍보영상 제작지원(2,800만원) △중소기업 수출보험료 지원(1,900만원) △중소기업 맞춤형 특허출원 지원(2,000만원) △시군경쟁력강화사업(4,300만원) △중소기업육성자금 이자보전(약2,700만원)을 지원 중이다.
또한 기업과 근로자의 정주여건, 근로환경 개선을 위해 △기업 정주여건 개선(38,600만원) △중소기업 근로자 기숙사 임차비 지원(10,600만원) 등 다양한 사업을 운영한다.
특히 올해 상반기 중소벤처기업부에서 추진하는 ‘지역특화 제조데이터 활성화사업’ 공모에 최종 선정돼 기대감이 커졌다.
충북도와 (재)충북테크노파크를 중심으로 청주시, 충주시, 음성군 등과 협약을 체결해 오는 2027년까지 총사업비 119억원으로(진천군 6억원) 제조 AI 플랫폼 구축, 인력양성을 지원한다.
군은 해당 공모사업을 기점으로 제조 현장의 AI 전환을 본격화한다는 구상이다.
이와 함께 소기업형 스마트공장 구축 지원, 스마트공장 보급확산 지원사업 등 다양한 기술 경쟁력 지원사업을 지속적으로 추진해 지역 제조업 환경을 고도화한다는 계획이다.
김의년 군 기업지원과장은 “진천군 성장의 밑거름은 기업이며 기업이 경쟁력을 가져야 지역도 발전할 수 있다”며 “진천군은 앞으로도 현장을 찾아 기업의 목소리를 듣고, 기업의 애로사항 등을 적극 해결하는 등 행·재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
