【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 25일 증평초등학교 일원에서 등굣길 어린이 약취·유인 예방 합동 캠페인을 실시했다.
이번 캠페인은 최근 전국적으로 발생하는 학교 주변 유괴 시도 사건을 예방하고, 어린이를 겨냥한 범죄의 심각성을 지역사회 전반에 알리기 위한 취지로 마련됐다.
행사에는 증평군을 비롯해 괴산증평교육지원청, 괴산경찰서, 안전보안관, 지역자율방재단 등 관계기관 및 지역 단체가 참여했다.
참여자들은 등굣길 학생들과 보호자들에게 유괴 예방 안전수칙이 담긴 홍보물과 아동용 호신 경보기를 배부하며 아동범죄 예방의 중요성을 강조했다.
이날 캠페인에 함께한 이재영 군수는 “이번 캠페인이 아동 범죄의 심각성을 다시금 환기하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “어린이와 보호자들이 안전수칙을 숙지하고 위험 상황에서 신속하게 신고할 수 있도록 가정과 학교에서도 지속적인 관심과 교육이 이뤄져야 한다”고 강조했다. 이어 “아이들이 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 지역사회를 만들기 위해 모두가 함께 노력해 달라”고 덧붙였다.
