【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군과 음성군기독교연합회는 지난 26일 군민의 화합과 평화를 소망하는 성탄트리의 불빛을 밝혔다.
점등식에는 조병옥 음성군수를 비롯해 김영호 음성군의회 의장, 남궁성기 음성군기독교연합회장 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데, 1부 예배, 2부 점등식 및 축하 인사 순으로 진행됐다.
성탄트리는 높이 8.5m, 폭 4m 규모로 음성문화예술회관 일원에 설치됐으며, 성탄절을 앞두고 한 해 동안 고생한 군민들의 마음을 위로하고 성탄트리를 감상하며 행복한 연말연시를 추억하길 소망하는 뜻으로 만들어졌다.
성탄트리는 군민과 방문객들이 소중한 추억을 담을 수 있도록 내년 1월까지 불을 밝힐 예정이다.
군 관계자는 “이 성탄트리가 군민들에게 잠시나마 따뜻한 위로와 희망을 전하는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며 “또한 지역사회 곳곳에 밝고 따뜻한 빛이 퍼져 나가기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
