북구청은 2025년 구·군 청소년 선도·보호 지원 시책 평가에서 우수기관 표창을 받았다고 밝혔다. 이번 평가는 대구시 9개 구·군을 대상으로, 올해 1월부터 11월까지 진행된 청소년 관련 업무 전반을 살펴보는 방식으로 이루어졌다.
평가 항목은 청소년 선도·보호 활동을 비롯해 청소년 안전망 운영, 청소년 권익 증진, 학교 밖 청소년 지원 등 6개 분야 12개 세부지표로 구성됐다. 대구시는 각 구·군의 정책 추진 실적과 운영 성과를 서면 평가를 통해 종합적으로 심사했다.
북구청은 특히 청소년 선도·보호 활동 체계와 고위기 청소년 대상 집중심리클리닉을 내실 있게 운영한 점에서 우수한 평가를 받았다. 위기에 처한 청소년을 조기에 발굴하고 신속하게 지원하는 현장 중심 대응이 성과로 이어졌다는 분석이다.
또한 지역 청소년지도협의회와의 협력 아래 유해환경 개선 활동과 청소년 상담 서비스 제공 확대 등 실질적인 복지 체계 구축도 긍정적으로 평가됐다.
배광식 북구청장은 “이번 평가는 청소년들이 보다 안전하게 성장할 수 있도록 현장에서 묵묵히 노력해 온 직원들과, 지역사회의 적극적인 협력이 합쳐진 결과”라며 “앞으로도 청소년 권익 향상과 촘촘한 보호·지원 체계 마련에 힘써 미래 세대가 꿈을 펼칠 수 있는 환경을 조성해나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
